They come with rails all around the inside, a healthcare safety support rail as well an easy access handle and lock. They have urine separator, made and manufactured by us on our small vac former, installed and a pipe to take liquid waste to a soakaway or collection unit, also provided.
The toilet seat sits at 52cm high, 50cm deep and 80cm wide enabling a large 62 litre collection unit to be used. Approx. 200 solid deposits.
Our standard accessible toilets come built in sections, we deliver them personally and assemble them on site.
Our toilets can be place anywhere as they're a completely off grid contained unit but the site you choose to place them should be as flat as possible and the firmer the ground they sit on the better. A concrete base is ideal, hardstanding is great and plain ground is manageable.
If you require a soakaway please allow room for this, 40cm square is adequate.
We will place your toilet/s anywhere a van and trailer can access. You can move them by hand or forklift before they are assembled, to a more inaccessible location if required.
Delivery is an additional cost and dependant on your location.
Assembly is also an additional cost for the labour of two people taking approx 3/4 hours.
As mentioned previously all our toilets come with a urine separator and for those that don't know, they're a simple urine collection devise that's essential to a great compost toilet. They sit underneath, at the front part of the toilet seat so when you sit down they naturally collect the liquid.
All our urine separators are made by us on our small vac former in house.
There are many ingredients to a fantastic compost and one of the main ones is water. Not too dry and not too wet. If they get too wet it eliminates all the oxygen, the compost can't beath and it becomes anaerobic, so it's vital that we remove the liquid waste.
A 40mm pipe is connected to the urine separator and pipes the liquid away, either to a soakaway or to a collection unit, you decide what suits you and your site best and we will provide both solutions.

Urea is an amazing substance, it's nutrient rich and sterile and by removing urea at source we keep it clean and sterile, meaning it's a valuable resource as a fertiliser. It contains NPK, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, the ingredients of all shop bought fertilisers, so if you dilute it at a ratio of 1:10 water your garden will thank you.
Compost toilets are used in conjunction with sawdust or wood chippings. After a deposit has been made it should be covered with a sprinkling of sawdust. The main reason being a compost heap needs nitrogen and carbon, the nitrogen is your deposit the carbon the sawdust with the added benefit of seeing nothing but wood shavings, it's absorbent and it gives a protective barrier from midges.
Wonderful compost is the perfect end result and for this we offer a variety of solutions on our composting page.
To access the collection unit to change them over when full, first sprinkle a generous amount of sawdust. Then simply lift the top of the seat unit up. Pop the lid on the collection unit, zip tie, lift and place somewhere to compost safely. Alternatively transfer to one of our composters built specifically for the purpose.
Our standard accessible toilet has a 62 litre collection unit, as a general rule of thumb an average deposit is 200grms, allowing for a little sawdust you will be able to accommodate approximately 200 deposits. They come with rails all around the inside, a healthcare safety support rail as well an easy access handle and lock.
We offer an alternative cladding of wavy edge larch of you prefer. Larch is beautiful and known for it's hardiness, drying to a silvery colour.
We will bring a small welcome pack including instructions.
